Christopher Diño has been a practitioner of diverse forms of martial arts including the Filipino fighting arts under various teachers for the last 20 years. Chris has been under Mahaguro Nate Defensor of The Filipino Kali Eskrima Academy of Chicago since 2000, and has instructed since 2007; currently ranked Lakan Guro Level IV.

“It seemed like a scene in a movie when I was first got introduced to Guro Nate. I met Guro Nate after working the door at a bar in Wicker Park and after conversing with fellow security about martial arts, he suggested I meet his teacher across the street at another bar. There he was playing chess early 4am with his other students working security” - C.D.
